It's a money making scheme. The shape is already 5 years old, which means that any time from now BMW will be introducing another shape. This will undoubtedly make the investment not worth the money.

But my biggest gripe, is the fact that BMW continues to allow AUDI to gain (speed) popularity through the super efficicent RS4. This car is old, yet still fast.

Please BMW, thwart this long enjoyed excitement by AUDI. BMW, as the editor rightfully noted, has been king of the road since the 80's. Bring back the "UNTOUCHEABLE" feel to driving this beautiful, crude yet tamed monster. Mawethu

Utter rubbish...I love BMWs and had a 325is Evo 2 and M3, but R1.1million is not BMW 3series territory. 99% would go for something truly exotic like a porsche or a Nissan GTR in order to get real value for money. This is a post major meltdown recession era coupled with a newfound sense of practicality. That M3 will suck petrol to the point of annoyance where all you do is cruise while looking for gas stations. It is not a complete engineering offering. It will be a lemon on the sales front.

That is a fantastic car and an awesome looker but for that price ? ....its crazy! Why would South Africans pay that price for this car , if this BMW E92 cost half the price in other countries ? Where is the justification?

^ I agree with you on that. Hi, I am just new here and read some post from the past and this one caught my attention. BMW really needs to work on great cars again. I do understand that each automobile company is trying to make hybrid cars too but maintain what has been consistent all these years.
